Centre for Developmental Disability Health staff are a multidisciplinary team who work across a range of education, clinical, research and advocacy activities.
Please note that CDDH is not an acute, emergency or crisis service and does not provide ongoing care.
If you require urgent medical or psychiatric treatment:
1. Contact your usual treating doctor and/or
2. Call 000 and ask for an ambulance and/or
3. Contact the local area Mental Health Service
Clinical Services
CDDH is a secondary consultation service, providing medical management recommendations and support to the local GP and care team.
CDDH doctors are available Mondays and Thursdays. New referrals can be made to CDDH by submitting the CDDH Referral Form.
Disability Health Access Service (DHAS)
DHAS can help facilitate access to preventative healthcare procedures for people with intellectual / developmental disabilities.
DHAS is currently experiencing high levels of demand. New referrals can be made to CDDH by submitting the CDDH Referral Form.
NDIS Plan Review Requests
CDDH focuses on the healthcare of people with intellectual / developmental disabilities.
CDDH does not provide letters of support for NDIS plan reviews unless it is a part of an overall medical plan.
