What is a Disability Liaison Officer?

The Monash Health Disability Liaison Officers (DLO) helps people with disabilities to access and coordinate their healthcare at Monash Health.
Through individualised support the Disability Liaison Officer assists people with disabilities to achieve better health outcomes.

The Disability Liaison Officer can help you:

    • Access the Monash Health services you need to stay well
    • Navigate the hospital system
    • Prepare for a hospital stay
    • Get the support you need while you are attending Monash Health
    • Return home after your hospital stay
    • With any follow up after your hospital stay

Please be aware that DLOs are a limited service, that prioritises issues affecting people’s safety.
This means our response times can be long.
